Fairmont Heights Precast Storm Pod Storm Water Detention System

Gillespie Precast partnered with Rotondo Environmental Solutions to deliver the Fairmont Heights precast storm pod storm water detention system for Fairmont Heights High School. This innovative stormwater management solution was designed to control runoff, improve drainage, and provide long-lasting durability. By utilizing precast concrete technology, the system ensures consistent quality, faster installation, and dependable performance for decades to come.

Engineered for Strength and Efficiency

The StormPod system is a modular, single-chambered, precast concrete groined arch engineered for underground installation. With its proven arch design, the precast storm pod detention system delivers exceptional load-bearing strength while remaining cost-effective. Rotondo Environmental Solutions designed the system to balance value and performance, making it one of the most efficient stormwater detention options available today.

Project Scope at Fairmont Heights High School

For this project, Gillespie Precast manufactured and delivered the entire Fairmont Heights storm pod system—a total of 379 pods—within four months. Each unit was produced under controlled conditions to meet the highest quality standards, then transported and installed with precision. The result is a sustainable, reliable stormwater management system that supports both the school and surrounding community.

Commitment to Sustainable Stormwater Management

At Gillespie Precast, we are committed to providing innovative solutions that support sustainability and long-term performance.
