Since joining Gillespie Precast in 2010, Uziel “Petey” Rodriguez has built his career through dedication, hard work, and a strong commitment to the values that define our company. Starting as a laborer, Petey steadily worked his way up and now serves as Operations Coordinator for Plant 2 in Chestertown. His journey reflects the Gillespie tradition of investing in people and growing talent from within.

In his role, Petey coordinates installations for Contech, Vortex, Rotondo, meter vaults, storm filters, control structures, as well as patching, repairs, and coatings. He also serves as a job site technician, working directly with contractors to support the installation of Gillespie Precast products in the field. His attention to detail and hands-on approach help ensure that each project reflects the quality, reliability, and craftsmanship Gillespie Precast has delivered for generations. Through teamwork and a commitment to getting the job done right, Petey plays an important role in delivering solutions that keep critical infrastructure projects moving forward.

Outside of work, Petey remains deeply involved in his community and church. He serves as Music Director and enjoys singing alongside his daughter in the band Libertad Ministry. The group is well known throughout the area, performing at weddings, birthdays, and special church events and bringing people together through music.

Family is also at the center of Petey’s life. This September 12th, he will celebrate his 20th wedding anniversary with his wife, and together they are proud parents of three daughters.

Petey’s dedication to his craft, his coworkers, and his community truly reflects what it means to be part of the Gillespie Precast family—five generations strong and built on integrity.
