Growth at Gillespie Precast has been steady and strong over the last two decades with our employees now numbering over 150 to handle the diverse projects we take on.
We attribute much of our growth to our ability to produce unique, complex custom precast structures that are fully tested in our state-of-the-art facility before install under demanding timetables.
Gillespie Precast is known to produce custom precast products other precasters refuse to do.
- 2004 Milestone: Gillespie Precast Established as separate division for precast specialty work
- 2009 Milestone: Gillespie Precast Gillespie Precast adds additional 22,500 square feet to its plant increasing production floor space and the overhead crane capacity to 50 tons
- 2012/2013 Milestone: Re-engineering "caste in place" to precast; production of 176 precast concrete pieces to complete a trench project in two months for the Delaware City Refinery
- 2013 Milestone: Greenwood, DE precast plant was acquired supporting expansion in the mid-Atlantic territory
- 2014/15 Milestone: Achieved 100% for NPCA Plant Certification Audits for both Chestertown facilities
- 2018 Milestone: Gillespie Precast completes new 6,000-square-foot building for offices
- 2020 Milestone: Plant further expanded to 40,000 sq. ft. space with 100,000 lbs. lift capacity
